Research

We design and synthesize compounds and materials to address global challenges such as advanced healthcare, environmental sustainability, and clean energy.

Our primary focus is on metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and their composites, exploring how their structure and properties influence their performance in various applications. We deal with:

Investigating the potential of MOFs in drug delivery, biosensing, and imaging to advance precision, personalization, and efficacy in medical therapies.

Development of materials for gas storage, separation, and recovery to promote energy-efficient processes, a cleaner environment, and the reduction of industrial emissions.

Innovations in areas such as pollutant removal, gas capture and recovery, proton conductivity, and energy-efficient catalysis to develop sustainable solutions for environmental challenges and enhance the efficiency of energy processes.

A key aspect of our research is the design and synthesis of compounds and materials with tailored properties. Our focus is on implementing a desired function or property at the molecular level through the targeted design of building units.
