Areas of Work:

  • Catalysts: Zeolites and zeolite-like materials, structural optimization, surface chemistry, morphology (especially nanoparticles)
  • Coatings: Supported (reactive) crystallization of catalytically active systems 
  • Cellular Composite Materials: Catalytically active ceramic and glass molded bodies using new processing methods
  • (Thermal) Energy Storage: Support for heat storage materials, novel (ceramic and hybrid) heat storage materials (currently underway to establish a DFG priority program) 
  • Thermoelectrics: Processing of thermoelectric powders using ceramic manufacturing techniques (process cost savings and upscaling of TEGs)
  • Investigation and Modification of Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs)
  • Investigation of the Aging Behavior of Fe-Modified SAPOs
